<reviewbody>I listened to old time radio from 1983 until 2003 while I drove my tractor trailer cross country. Primarily listening to Fresno radio station KMJ 580 am, I loved it when they played a Box 13 episode as it was one of my favorite shows. I found Box 13 online in 2008 and started listening to them in order. I had not even come close to hearing them all. I think Alan Ladd was huge and not small framed described online. (I only knew him thru the radio). I was very saddened to learn thru his online Wikipedia Bio that he had committed suicide to end his life. How sad to leave the earth in that fashion. My father choose the same. Two people I adored gone. The memories of both will linger forever in my heart. God Bless you Dad and Alan.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>In another variation on a much used theme the hero is a writer who seeks his muse from requests in his po box 13 when he turns into the detective.
New to me in the UK but highly enjoyable. If you like this type of radio show you will not be disappointed,</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I'm only in my twenties, but I grew up with old-time radio shows coming over the AM band in the middle of the night, and this show is possibly better than any of the ones I grew up on. With the exception of the annoying intro, a harsh female voice repeating the title over and over there are few flaws, and the recording quality on all but a few of these is top notch. If you like good detective stories with charasmatic leads and a touch of humor, this is for you.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>this is a great show, not as good as Suspense but in the same theme. The stories are enjoyable and they move at a face pace. Ladd voice is smooth making it easy listening. </reviewbody>
